It's extremely satisfying to draw with SAI despite it's limited (albeit very functional) features. If you adjust the hue/saturation sliders for example, SAI renders the preview in real time with no delay, whereas CSP has some delay before it shows the preview, which in turn makes it really difficult to make fine adjustments to the colors.įor me personally, it's more important to have a drawing experience without any unnecessary interruptions or need to tweak numerous settings. Understanding that SAI has a good stabilizer, Clip Studio Paint also has it. I often want to adjust the colors of multiple layers or folder of layers simultaneously, but that's not possible on CSP (for a long time it wasn't possible even on Photoshop, which I really don't get). I would say that Clip Studio Paint is the Paint Tool SAI but for professionals. Clip Studio Paint tiene las herramientas de creación de manga como el marco y globos de texto, tiene las herramientas de animación necesarias para todo animador. It doesn't always do it, so the inconsistency is really off-putting It doesn't always seem to release the input right after lifting the pen, which leaves weird hooks at the end of the strokes when it keeps tracking the pen even after it's no longer touching the surface. For software, I use many different ones, including Photoshop, ZBrush, Maya, Clip Studio Paint, SketchUp, Paint Tool SAI, etc. ![]() But no, the lines just never seem come up as beautiful as they do on SAI and the program lags just a bit too much even on a fairly decent PC. If CSP just had the superb brush dynamics of SAI, then I would gladly use it as my primary drawing program. It's much more intuitive and faster to use, it's super responsive and always works as expected. Clip Studio Paint is more appropriate variant in comparison to Paint Tool SAI as it includes a wide range of special effects and cartoon characters to choose. However, it's often the features that are most commonly used that really matter and in that regard SAI truly shines. ![]() It even has 3D models for poseable mannequins. Paint Tool SAI has a blending engine (wet mix) that has been implemented in software such as Clip Studio Paint, Krita and forks such as Medibang Paint. CSP has some very specialized and powerful tools and customization options which are useful if you really need them (such as comic drawing tools, page management, rulers and perspective grid tools, animation timeline and onionskin etc.) and it has a big library of downloadable assets like screentones, speech bubbles and stuff.
